THE PRISMATIC KEY We received news from Keghammer that a new type of Giant had been spotted in Stormheim. Apparently it was made of crystal, and was wreaking havoc. We set out to investigate. |

SOMETHING BLUE: Sapphire Shard Keghammer asked us to look Crystal Giants. We set out to scout for some giants, but of course Keghammer decided to also collect a little ale along the way. [Defeat Giants and collect Ale and Sapphire Shard.] We collected some Sapphire Shards from the new Giants. Unfamiliar with them, Keghammer suggested we meet with a scholar, Fakyr the Wise, in the Drifting Sands who knew more about gemstones than Dwarves and Gnomes combined.
Stormheim [The Land of Giants] The Mountains of Stormheim are inhabited by many ferocious tribes of Giants.
Keghammer [Giant Slayer] He's here to drink ale and slay Giants, and he's all out of ale.
The Sapphire Giant [Frozen Crystal] He appeared completely out of the blue.

SAGE ADVICE: Gems of Lore Fakyr the Wise agreed to help us if we could gather some crystals guarded by creatures in the Underworld. We gladly agreed. [Defeat monsters in the Underworld, and gather crystals for Fakyr.] Fakyr the Wise told us these shards we found were the blood of a new giant. He sensed there may be a threat to Krystara from these new creatures, and and we agreed to see where else they might be. We'd some rumours of trouble in the Forest of Thorns…

NOT-SO-JOLLY GREEN GIANT: Emerald Encounter There have been rumours of unrest in the Forest of Thorns. [Fight feral creatures as you search for signs of an Emerald Giant.] We had some Emerald Shards now too. We figured a place of power like the Broken Spire might harbour some Ruby Giants so we set a course for there next.

WRIGGLE, WRIGGLE, WRIGGLE: Ruby Red Herring It seems likely that Broken Spire may contain a Ruby Giant. Work your way through this hostile landscape - and it's surrounds - looking for any sign of them. [ Defeat fiery foes and collect clues. ] While we fought lots of fiery creatures in the Broken Spire, none of them were Ruby Giants. So we set course for the Pridelands - another kingdom where we knew the power of fire was strong. Broken Spire [Lair of the Lava Wyrm] The Ogres of Broken Spire worship a mighty Lava Wyrm.

GIANT IN RED: Ruby Reward Perhaps the Ruby Giants are in the Pridelands. Fight monsters in the Pridelands looking for evidence that crystal giants are here. [ Defeat enemies in the Pridelands, and gather trophies and Ruby Reward. ] We found the Ruby Giants, and now had Ruby Shard too! Looking for Giants like this was very hit and miss though, so we set out for Urskaya to talk with Baba Yaga. She may have been annoying, but she knew many things.
Pridelands [ The Savage Lands ] The Pridelands are home to many nomadic tribes of cat-folk, known as the Raksha.

ALL THE RAGE: Baba Yaga’s Deal Baba Yaga had information we needed but was difficult to find - she had annoyed the Urska yet again, and was being hunted by their Spirit of Rage. [ Defeat Urskayan foes, and gather their Fur to help Baba Yaga cast a spell against them. ] We helped out Baba Yaga, and in exchange she told us the most likely places to find the other Crystal Giants (Karakoth & Whitehelm). She also warned us of a threat to Krystara and the Underworld - a mythical Onyx Giant who had tried to enter this world and conquer it for many centuries may now be using the Umbral Nexus Gate to enter Krystara Urskaya [ The Savage North ]Despite their savagery, the Northern Urska have carved out a niche of civilization in the mountains. Baba Yaga [ Speak No Evil ] Lost my broomstick, but found this pot! Doomclaw [ Roar of Anguish ] Fear the Claw! King Mikhail [ Urska Might ] Previously Head of Krystara's Greatest Bears. PURPLE REIGN: Amethyst Acquisition The Amethyst Giants were in Karakoth, as Baba Yaga predicted, but we would need to fight Deamons and Warlocks to reach them. [ Defeat foes in Karakoth to gain Tomes and Amethyst Shards. ] The first of the Giants Baba Yaga told us about - the Amethyst Giants of Karakoth - had been defeated. We now had some Amethyst Crystals, and I posed the question to Keghammer and Gemhammer of what we should do with them.

BIG YELLOW FELLOW: Topaz Treasures As foretold by Baba Yaga, the Topaz Giants were in Whitehelm, where they had raised an army of elementals. [ Defeat elementals and giants in Whitehelm to gain Elemental Energy and Topaz Shards. ] Finally we had Topaz Shards - giving us 5 different colors. Gemhammer believed the dead smiths of Dhrak-Zhum could craft a key that might be used to lock the Onyx Giant from the gate of Nexus.

SMITHY, SMITHY, SWORD: Forge Me a Key Gemhammer showed us where we could find the dead smiths of Dhrak Zhum who could forge a Prismatic Key. [ Defeat Daemons and Undead and collect Ore to gain the favor of the dead smiths. ] Finally we had Topaz Shards - giving us 5 different colors. Gemhammer believed the dead smiths of Dhrak-Zhum could craft a key that might be used to lock the Onyx Giant from the gate of Nexus.
Dhrak-Zum [ The Deserted Halls ] Dwarves once ruled Dhrak-Zum, but they disturbed something powerful in the deeps.

TALL, DARK, AND GRUESOME: Key to Darkness The Onyx Giant is trying to enter Krystara through the Umbral Portal. We needed to stop him with the Prismatic Key. [ Defeat allies of the Onyx Giant and collect Dark & Light Power to close the Onyx Giant's gateway. ]
Finally, we reached the Gate of the Umbral Nexus, and used the key.
It worked! Krystara and the Underworld had been saved from the powerful forces of the Onyx Giant.
