THE HELLCRAG MONUMENTTyri heard about an old treasure map, hidden in the ruins of Khetar.There was no stopping her of course, so we decided to follow along. |
| CARRION BAGGAGE: The Lost Map
We followed Tyri to Khetar looking for a treasure map. [Collect parchments to try and piece the map together.] We found the treasure map - Tyri usually knew where the treasure was.It was written in the language of Old Khet though, and it would take someone ancient to translate it; someone… like a Dragon.
Tyri [Treasure Hunt] Diamonds may be a girl's best friend, but emeralds and rubies will do in a pinch.
Khetar [Kingdom of Bones] Ancient Khetar fell many centuries ago, but its dead still walk the land.
Ankhnum [Curse Seal] Likes to kid around. Bone Dragon [Strip Flesh] He's cool. Nothing gets under HIS skin. Keeper of Souls [Soul Strike] Famed for his part in the Krystara Cup 2014, where he saved 3 goals and devoured the entire opposition team. Apophisis [Caduceus] She has a hissterical laugh. Jakal the Guardian [Icy Doom] A Jackal of all Trades... Tutankhatmun [Feline Disdain] They found him in the Great Purramid. |

LOST IN TRANSLATION: Draconic Divination Sabellius, the cunning Black Dragon, famed for his knowledge of many secret things, proposeda trade. If we clould collect Obsidian and Black Sapphires for him, he would translate Tyri's map. [Defeat opponents to collect precious stones for Sabellius, and he will help you.] Sabellius, the Black Dragon, translated the map for us. It was vague, but told of an ancient city that we'd never heard of before - Hellcrag. It also mentioned 3 sisters who lived there: Euryale, Medusa, and Stheno. We set out looking for Stheno. Dragon's Claw [Birthplace of Dragons] High atop these mountains live many Dragons, and their servants, the Dragonians. Sabellius [Acid Blast] In darkest day, and blackest night. Consort of Darkness [Dark Submission] No kink-shaming please.
Umberwolf [Shadow Hunt] Bad Wolf.
Shadow Dragon [Evernight] Likes to appear at night and devour entire villages... just for lolz.
Sister Ebony [Mask of Ice and Shadow] Looking for Sister Ivory.
Umbraxis [Shadow Realm] He's a shady character with a dark sense of humor.
Obsidian Golem [Igneous] Don't eat dwarven chilli...

SISTER ACT: Sibling Rivalry Stheno was the younger sister of Euryale and Medusa. She was also hard to find. We followed a trail of spirits to track her down. [Defeat enemies, and collect spirits to track Stheno.] Stheno told us of the city of Hellcrag, of the treasures it once possessed. It was overrun by Daemons though, during the Great Blight, and her sister Medusa had cursed it, turning them all to stone. We set out to find a tracker who might lead us there. Bright Forest [The Summer Court] The Summer Fey, ruled by Queen Titania, live in this idyllic forest. Stheno [Serpent Dreams] Don’t you do as your big sister does...

The Wendigo [Hunting Grounds] More importantly, WHERE did he go?

LOST IN THE WOODS: Looking for Guidance We traveled to Nexus, to ask for help from Hawthorn and hunters, hoping they might be able to find Hellcrag. As payment, we offered to show them some new hunting grounds. [Collect fish and game for Hawthorn in exchange for his help.] The Nexian trackers owed us many favors, but they were new in Krystara, and didn't know of the city of Hellcrag. So we set out for Grosh-Nak - they lived closer to the Blight, and one of their trackers might perhaps help us. Nexus [The Elemental Rift] A portal to the Elemental Planes has opened here, allowing the Nexians to enter Krystara. Hawthorn [Nature's Path] Natureboy. Natureborn Hunter [Guiding Light] Born to be (in the) Wild... Megavore [Deep Terror] Nature has a way of reminding man just how small he is. Basilisk [Serpent Song] Snakes... Why did it have to be snakes? Kharybdis [Pincer of Doom] It takes a demigod to beat a decapod. Leocorn [Noble Enchantment] Magical kitty saves the day! Wereverine [Transforming Claw] Don't call him Logan. Gorbil [Chow Down] It's like a furry potato with teeth! |

ON THE RIGHT TRACK: The Orc's Path We traveled to Grosh-Nak, seeking a tracker who might know of Hellcrag. It was Grosh-Nak... The best way to do anything was fighting. [Collect Orc Tusks and Skulls to get a tracker's attention.] Trk'Nala of Grosh-Nak agreed to help us. She didn't know where Hellcrag was, but had once met a strange traveler made of stone in the mountains to the south. She would lead us there. Grosh-Nak [The Shattered Lands] These once-noble tribes of Gurakk were corrupted into Orcs by the powers of chaos. Trk'Nala [Tireless Pursuit] She’s on the hunt, she’s after you. Shade of Zorn [Undying Rage] He’s a hazy shade of Zorn. Gar'Nok [To War!] He's looking for love in all the wrong places. Sol'Zara [Spirit Fury] Hey, Soul Sister! Fist of Zorn [Skull Blast] Fist of Fury. Drake Rider [Raze] No, he's NOT riding a male duck. |

THE FORGOTTEN REALM: Hellcrag Journey Chalcedony led us to her home - Hellcrag. It seemed Medusa turned not just the Daemons, but ALL of its original inhabitants to stone. We agreed to look for a way to reverse the curse. Perhaps a Daemon could help? Chalcedony [Petrifying Shot] Shot through the heart, and she’s to blame... |

BLIGHTED KNOWLEDGE: Cursebreaker We hoped that a Daemon might be able to tell us how to break the curse of Hellcrag. The Herald of Blight offered to tell us if we challenged the other Heralds in her name. [Defeat Heralds, and gain their shields.] The Herald of Blight told us what we needed to know - it was simple really. We just needed to defeat Medusa. But first, it seemed our travels to Hellcrag had come to the notice of the old gods, and we would need to help defend the city.

PETRAHULK SMASH!: Hellcrag Raid Zuul'Goth was defeated again, so we headed towards the Mist of Scales, hoping to find Medusa there.
Zuul'Goth [Annihilation] The Gods must be crazy.

SOLID SNAKES: Magic Mirror Euryale found us as we entered the Mist of Scales. She told us Medusa wasn't here, but she would help us if we could survive a desdly game tn the Underworld. [Defeat Euryale's servants and collect mirror shards.] Medusa wasn't in the Mist of Scales, but her other sister Euryale, gave us some mirror shards to help defeat here. She also told us where to find her - in Hellcrag, of course!
Mist of Scales [Serpents in the Mist] The Naga tribes from the Mist of Scales are masters of poison and deceit.
Euryali [Cloud of Death] Mirror, mirror, on the... oh, crap!
Chief Dargon [Battle Cry] Lizard on lizard action.

Nocturnia [Breath of Darkness] The real Mother of Dragons.
The Great Wyrm [Shattering Screech] Better than the Not-So-Great Wyrm.
Bone Naga [Rattle Bones] He likes a good ribbing, particularly if it's humerus.

STONE DEAD: Mistress of Stone Face Medusa in Hellcrag and defeat her to break the curse. [Collect Medusa’s Scales each time you beat her as proof of your deeds.] With Medusa defeated, Hellcrag slowly came back to life. Shortly after that, Tyri turned up with a pile of treasure - seems like she found it after all.
Hellcrag [Realm of Statues] This inhabitants of this kingdom were turned to stone by Medusa long ago.
Medusa [Stone Gaze] She likes to watch everyone get stoned.
